MEPCO is looking for a proactive and experienced legal professional to serve as its Chief Legal Officer. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in corporate and commercial law, regulatory matters, and contract management.
The CLO will be responsible for overseeing all legal and contractual affairs of the company. Key responsibilities include leading the legal department, providing strategic legal advice to the board and management, managing corporate litigation, and ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. Strong knowledge of NEPRA, SECCP, PPRA, and Competition Act 2017 is essential. The position demands a proven track record of successful leadership, negotiation skills, and a strategic mindset to mitigate legal risks. Candidates should have excellent communication and presentation skills, with a strong ethical and professional demeanor. This is a contract-based position for a three-year term, extendable based on performance, with a maximum age limit of 65 years.
Chief Information Technology & Systems (CITS) Position
MEPCO is also seeking a highly skilled and visionary Chief Information Technology & Systems (CITS). This role is crucial for driving the company’s digital transformation and ensuring the reliability and security of its IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate should hold a postgraduate degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or a related field, with a minimum of 16 years of experience. A significant portion of this experience should be in managing large-scale IT operations and enterprise systems.
The CITS will be tasked with leading MEPCO’s IT department, overseeing the design, development, and implementation of IT systems, and ensuring seamless operational efficiency. This includes managing data governance, business intelligence tools, and cybersecurity initiatives. Experience with power utility-specific IT systems, such as billing and HR systems, is highly desirable. The role requires a leader with strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to effectively manage vendor relationships and service level agreements. This is also a three-year contract position, extendable based on performance, with a maximum age limit of 65 years.
